Sesame chicken
I like going to the Chinese restaurant. And we are very lucky because here in the Bay Area the Chinese cuisine is very well known and you can find many good places (and not very expensive).
One of my favorite Chinese food is Sesame chicken. I love sesame and I think it adds a special flavor.
I found this recipe at allrecipes.com but I modified it a little bit. (BTW, I like this website, because you can find many recipes and they all have rating, so you can read the opinions of the other people).
Sesame chicken recipe
Ingredients for 3:
- 1 pound of chicken breasts (chopped in small stripes)
- 1/2 cup of flour
- 1 cup of sesame seeds
- olive oil
- 2 tablespoons of honey (or more)
- 2 tablespoons of say sauce (or more)
Directions:
- Place flour, chicken and sesame seeds in a big Ziploc bag. Close it and shake it very well (so the chicken will be covered with flour and sesame seeds). Get rid of the flour in excess.
- Sautee the chopped onion with some olive oil.
- Add the chicken and cook for 3 minutes each side.
- Add the honey and soy sauce. Mix.
- Serve immediately.
