Chiara’s banana ice-cream

My friend Chiara makes a very good Italian ice-cream. Every time she invites us for dinner I ask her to make her wonderful banana ice-cream. It is good because it is not too sweet and it is very similar to the “gelato” you can find in Italy (ohh… I miss my gelato dinners in Bibione).

Banana ice-cream recipe

Ingredients for 4:

  • 10 ounces of mashed bananas
  • 5 ounces of heavy cream
  • 5 ounces of milk
  • 5 ounces of sugar
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Directions:

  1. Mix everything and let it rest in your fridge for at least 1/2 hour.
  2. Pour your mixture into your ice-cream machine. After 25 minutes it is ready to eat (but you can also put it in your freezer for a couple of hours, if you prefer harder ice-cream).
