“Torcetti piemontesi” are Italian cookies similar to breadsticks (but covered with sugar). They come from Piemonte, a region (county) of Italy. Their shape is similar to a close “U” and they are very crunchy. I really like them! Here is the recipe.

My friend Debba had her birthday a few days ago and in her honor I would like to write about her best recipe. Everyone that knows Debba has (sooner or later) tried her “granatina”. It is a cake made of chocolate and it is a little bit less soft than a mousse.

“Strudel” is a dessert that comes from Austria and it is wonderful to eat it warm after skiing in the mountains. But even if I do not live in the mountains I like to eat it for breakfast or in the afternoon.

My friend Chiara makes a very good Italian ice-cream. Every time she invites us for dinner I ask her to make her wonderful banana ice-cream. It is good because it is not too sweet and it is very similar to the “gelato” you can find in Italy (ohh… I miss my gelato dinners in Bibione).
